A new baby is always a blessing to any family. Excited mommies and daddies are just waiting until the day that their precious newborns come. The exiting part is that there is always that one friend or family member who wants to throw the expecting mommy a baby shower. The games are what make the baby shower exciting. • Guess mommy's tummy size- This popular game is played at just about every baby shower. The materials for this game consist of string or yarn and scissors. What you do is have everyone cut a piece of yarn or string at the length they think will fit around mommy-to-be's belly. The one who guesses the closest wins a prize.

• Guess the baby food-This game has always been a favorite for many people. For this game, you will need 10 jars of baby food, paper, and a pen. You take the labels off all the baby food jars and have the women guess what kind of food it is. The best part of this game is if there is a tie. In this case, blind fold both of the women and have them taste the baby food. Whichever one guesses right first wins a prize.

• Guess the baby pictures- Have everyone bring a baby picture of themselves. Give each person a piece of paper and a pen. Have everyone write down whose baby picture is whose. This game can really be fun because it is like a guessing game if you do not know everyone who is at the shower.
• Guess what kind of chocolate- This game can seem gross, but it is fun. The materials for it consist of three diapers, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and mint chocolate. Smear each piece of chocolate in the different diapers and have the women guess what kind it is. If there is a tie to this one, have both the women taste the chocolate. This can gross you out, but remember it is only chocolate.
• Never say the "B" word- Have all the women get a safety pin when they come through the door. If you hear anyone say the word baby, you call her on it and take her safety pin. Whoever ends up with the most safety pins at the end of the shower wins a prize.

As you can see, when a baby is coming soon, there are many fun things to plan, such as a baby shower. These are just five of many games played at a baby shower. Watch out when you are playing this game and it is really not as dangerous as trying to diaper a real baby boy that might break lose with a geyser at any moment....I call it the initiation to having a son.

This is a really fun baby shower game where people pair up and compete. If you decide to use cloth diaper or disposables I would recommend having a vinyl tablecloth on the kitchen or dining room tab...just in case the baby boy balloon springs a big leak

The second game may not be quite as lively...and not so messy as the first. The memory game allows you to see who was really paying attention to the table setting. I am thinking this will go better for the older crowd but who knows.

You may even want to try both, games make the shower so much fun and really put the new mom at ease. So play these games, laugh and have a ton of fun hosting your next baby shower.

Chug a lug, drink, chug a lug...out of a baby bottle. Well the guests certainly are having fun watching the competition.

For additional fun, you could give a bonus prize to the one that burped first after finishing their bottle.

 How many songs can you think of that have the word 'Baby" in them...there a probably 100's and you have to think of as many as you can in 3 minutes...i dunno, this game doesnt sound very fun to me.

I think I would like it better if you got to play actual clips of songs and had people guess the names of the song to win prizes or points and then maybe the loser would have to perform karoke to the others.

I like the idea of the nursery rhyme game much better but it might cause alot of prepartion for the hostess.

 I really liked all of ideas and I thought it was especially thoughtful to donate the prize gifts for the mom to be.
